How to Flash your Lite-on DG-16D2S DVD drive

The Lite-On 7485C (dg 16d2s)DVD drive found in the Xbox 360 features special firmware that disallows copied backups of your Xbox 360 games from playing. This limitation may prevent you from playing your favorite games if the original copy becomes unusable with scratches and other damage. Flashing the Lite-On DVD drive with less restrictive firmware restores full functionality to the drive with few issues, if any. This procedure is relatively labor-intensive and it could take an hour or more to successfully complete.
.Open the "Start" menu, type "Device Manager" into the search bar and click the icon that appears. Locate the VIA 6421 PCI SATA card in the device tree. Right-click the device and select "Disable."
.Navigate to "C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers" and rename "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys" to "viamraid.bak" or "vsmraid.bak."
.Navigate to the "Device Manager" and re-enable the card. Restart the computer when finished.
.Identify the Lite on DVD drive model. Locate model number, hardware and firmware versions on the manufacturer label. The hardware version on the label should be "A0A1," while the proper firmware version is "74850C." The model number should be "DG-16D2S."
.Download "Jungle Flasher v0.1.76" and the "iXtreme LT+" firmware packages onto your computer. Extract the "JungleFlasher" folder to your computer's desktop. Extract the "ix16-liteon.bin" file to the "firmware" folder within "JungleFlasher."
.Plug the Lite-On DVD drive's SATA and serial cables into the marked slots on the Blaster CK3 kit. Insert a USB cable into the marked slots on the Blaster CK3 and insert the other end of the USB cable into an available port on your computer.
.Double-click the Jungle Flasher icon to start the program, then select the "DVDkey 32" tab. Remove the check mark from the box labeled "Dummy.bin Only" and change the I/O port until you locate the DVD drive under "Drive Properties." Change the communication port to "COM4."
.Press the "Eject" button on the Blaster CK3. Power off the Xbox 360 and push the tray halfway in. Press "Eject" on the Blaster CK3 and power on the Xbox.
.Locate point "R707" on the DVD drive's circuit board. Cover the voltage regulator with electrical tape to avoid accidental shortages. Touch point "R707" with the CK3 probe.
.Click the "DVDKey32" button to dump the DVD drive key. Jungle Flasher will prompt you to save "Key.bin," "Inquiry.bin," "Identify.bin" and "Serial.bin." Jungle Flasher will also create a "Dummy.bin" file containing information from the other files. At the "Loading Source" prompt, click "Yes."
.Check the DVD key in the "Source" tab and the key in the "Target" tab. Both keys should match one another. Click the "MTK Flash 32" tab and click the "Lite-On Erase" button under "360 Tools." Click "Yes" at the "Lite-On Erase" prompt.
.Click "Yes" at the next prompt and immediately power off the Xbox 360 for one second, and then turn it back on. If the flash is successful, you will see "Serial Flash with Status 0x72" under "Flash Chip Properties." Click "Write" under "Flashing Tasks" to reprogram the DVD Drive for Xbox 360. Afterwards, click "Outro/ATA Reset" to revert the DG-16D2S drive back to its non-vendor state.
